Introduction

Tac-Med, L.L.C. was founded in 2007 by a cadre of veteran medical, law enforcement, and military personnel who saw the need for specialized medical education related to tactical casualty care in law enforcement, military, and complex emergency operations. Tac-Med’s educators are recruited for their military, law enforcement, and rescue experience, and their medical expertise. This allows them to intuitively understand — and function effectively — in austere environments. Our staff doesn’t just educate our colleagues on how to perform in demanding conditions — but live these experiences every day.  By working side-by-side with those we instruct, our staff are true “quiet professionals,”  and are eminently qualified to provide training in tactical casualty care, disaster response, and austere medical operations. Tac-Med also supports civilian EMS operations by ensuring that providers receive the most up-to-date training on topics that are not part of traditional EMS education, but are integral to providing the best medical care in daily, unique, and complex medical situations.
